Evie Plews, a first year student at QE, has recently performed in the London Festival of Gymnastics in a display from Moulin Rouge with teams from all over the country. Evie has been a gymnast for the last eleven years and has competed in several competitions, including wining a British Championship in Competitive Acro as a trio of dancers. She is currently a member of the GymMad Gymnastics Academy in Ingleby Barwick.
She says ‘the feeling of performing and competing is unlike anything else I have ever felt and I hope I can do it forever. Gymnastics has given me so much in terms of confidence and I feel so lucky that it’s such a huge part of my life’.
