Henry Mack, a first year student who currently studies Chemistry, Maths and PE, has recently had success at the World Kettlebell Sport Federation (WKSF) Championships 2024. The Championships were held in Poland and saw Henry compete alongside many others from all around the world. He was successful in his category, going on to win gold and become WKSF World Champion for Under 18 Kettlebell Long Cycle!
Henry’s interest in the sport began in late 2020, which started with training sessions twice a week via Zoom, where he showed a natural talent. He then took part in his first competition online in 2021. Henry won gold for the first time after qualifying for European Championships in 2022, defending this a year later in Greece.
We are very proud of Henry, who currently does his training at the Tu Nova gym in Darlington, as this was his very first time competing in the World Championships. A massive well done for winning gold!
