Student-Led Law Society Brings Parliament to QE

The spirit of student leadership was on full display as the Law Society Enrichment group at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College, established by student Elle Suttill, welcomed a special guest speaker Lynn Hobson from Parliament.

The session provided members with valuable insights into the law-making process, offering a unique opportunity to see how legislation is shaped and passed.

Since its creation, the Law Society has organised a series of activities, including mock trials and debates, allowing students to deepen their understanding of the legal system in a practical and engaging way. Today’s event marked another significant step in enriching the experience of our budding legal minds.

Student Elle Suttill commented: “This event was another step to deepen our knowledge of the law, and I hope to continue organising opportunities like this in the future!”

Claire Hutton, Enrichment Lead, added: Congratulations to Elle for organising such a valuable and inspiring event. At QE, we place a strong emphasis on student leadership, and this is a fantastic example of how our students are taking initiative and developing important skills for their future.”
