Lights, Camera, Impact! QE First-Year Media Students Create Promotional Video for Darlington Hospital CAMHS Team

Three talented first-year Creative Media students at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College – Ethan Fletcher, Logan Brown, and Alfie Leach have produced an impressive promotional video for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team at Darlington Hospital as part of their latest media project.

Ethan Fletcher led the project, presenting and editing the final film, while Logan Brown and Alfie Leach were responsible for filming and production. The video has received glowing feedback from the CAMHS team, who were so impressed that they will be featuring it on their official hospital website.

“This project has been an incredible opportunity for our students to apply their skills in a real-world setting and make a meaningful impact,” said Beccy Vickers, Course Leader of Creative Media Practice “It’s fantastic to see their work recognised and valued by a local NHS team.”

Building on this success, the Mental Health Support Team at Darlington Hospital has commissioned the trio to create a second promotional video, intended for use in school assemblies from the next academic year. Planning for this new project is already underway.

Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College is proud to offer students such enriching opportunities that develop creativity, professionalism, and real-world experience.
