Unlocking Potential: QE’s Exciting New Take on Freshers Week

At the start of the academic year, QE proudly launched QE Unlocked!  A fresh, dynamic take on Freshers Week designed to warmly welcome new students and kickstart their journey in style.

Each day brought something new, with activities that inspired connection, growth, and plenty of fun:

Monday we had our ‘People Pass’. Students kicked off their journey here at QE by meeting key staff members, tutors and fellow students. It was all about building relationships, and helping students lay the foundation for a successful year ahead.

Tuesday it was all about ‘Community Key’! We opened our doors to a host of local organisations and support agencies to share volunteering opportunities and wellbeing resources. Students explored how they can make a meaningful impact, both inside and outside of college.

Wednesday we entered ‘Play Mode’! Energy levels soared as students took part in a day of sport, games and team challenges. It was a day to get active, get involved, and get moving, all while having a blast!

Thursday we offered a ‘Bonus Level’! Our enrichment programme took centre stage, showcasing everything from leadership roles and creative clubs to sports and social groups, the variety is endless. Students dived right in, discovering new passions and ways to enhance their college experience.

We closed the week with ‘Funtime Friday’! Music, games, and good vibes filled our campus as students came together to mark their first full week at QE. Wrapping the week up celebrating making memories and new friends along the way.

QE Unlocked was more than just a welcome week, it was a celebration of new beginnings, community spirit, and exploring potential. Students made meaningful connections, memorable moments, and set the tone for their exciting year ahead with QE. We’re proud of all of our students for jumping right into the college life with confidence and curiosity. Here’s to unlocking even more opportunities together!
