Earlier this week, our Criminology students had the exciting opportunity to attend Crime Day at Teesside University – and what a day they had!
From the moment they arrived, students were immersed in the world of crime investigation and forensic science. The day kicked off with a gripping staged crime video, setting the scene for a series of dynamic workshops led by university experts. Each session explored the different layers of crime research, exploring everything from law and psychology to police procedures and digital forensics, giving students a broad experience into different departments and careers.
Highlights included hands-on experiences like dusting for fingerprints in a mock crime scene, uncovering digital clues from mobile devices, and analysing forensic evidence. Students got to step into the shoes of investigators, working alongside professionals and gaining real world insights into the fascinating field of criminology.
It was a thrilling, eye-opening day that sparked curiosity, deepened understanding, and left our students buzzing with inspiration.
