CCF Contingent Celebrates Outstanding Achievements and Leadership

QE VI CCF Contingent recently hosted a memorable presentation afternoon to honour the exceptional achievements and leadership of its cadets. The event, attended by Principal Laurence Job, was a proud and inspiring moment that allowed cadets to reflect on their progress, celebrate collective successes, and set their sights on future goals.

Bobby Eyre, Contingent Commander shared: “This event was a moment of great anticipation—a chance to celebrate the hard work and dedication of the cadets who have been working diligently through the Army Cadet Syllabus (ACS)”.

Certificates were presented to cadets who successfully completed the Basic, 1-Star, and 2-Star levels, marking significant milestones in their training. These achievements are a testament to their growing confidence, teamwork, and leadership, with the syllabus covering vital areas such as drill, fieldcraft, shooting, and community engagement. Laurence Job, Principal presented the certificates, including those for passing the Basic and 1-Star levels in Communications and Information Systems (CIS), further underscoring the diverse skill sets cultivated within the CCF.

A highlight of the afternoon was the group photo with Laurence in front of the newly-renovated mural of the Royal Corps of Signals crest in the Scorpion classroom. This mural now serves as a symbol of unity and strength within the CCF, reflecting the core values of the Contingent.

The afternoon’s celebrations culminated with the recognition of cadets who received well-deserved promotions, marking their outstanding leadership, dedication, and skills:

Emily, promoted to Sergeant Major, becomes only the second cadet in the history of the contingent to reach this rank. Emily’s exceptional leadership has set a high standard, inspiring others to follow her example.

Leo, promoted to Corporal, has demonstrated remarkable maturity and commitment to his leadership role. His achievement in winning the Summers Bowl for the best shot at the RFCA Shooting Competition highlights his drive for excellence.

Jason, promoted to Lance Corporal, has shown incredible dedication over the past six months. His positive attitude and commitment to supporting his peers have earned him this long-awaited recognition.

Sonya, promoted to Lance Corporal, has had an extraordinary year, with numerous achievements including completing an Indoor Climbing Assistant (ICA) course. Her enthusiasm and leadership have made her a shining example for fellow cadets.

Grace, promoted to Lance Corporal, has demonstrated unwavering commitment, achieving perfect attendance at parade evenings and events. Her courage in representing the Contingent at Darlington’s Remembrance Parade was particularly moving, showcasing her leadership potential.

These promotions are a powerful reminder of the resilience, hard work, and leadership. Each of these young leaders has worked tirelessly to develop their own skills while supporting their peers, embodying the values of the CCF and setting an inspiring example for others to follow.

The QE VI CCF Contingent is proud to celebrate the continued growth and success of its cadets, whose contributions to the contingent and the wider community exemplify the very best of leadership and service.
