Culture Week 2026

Recently, our college came alive with colour, creativity, and global traditions as we celebrated our annual Culture Week!

Culture Week at QE is a week packed with cultural activities, traditions, and energy, reflection of the diverse community that make our college so special.

Throughout the week, students immersed themselves in activities inspired by cultures from across the world, learning new skills, sharing traditions, and having an incredible time along the way.

Monday kicked things off with hands-on workshops in Nigerian Adire (tie dye) and Romanian egg decorating, and it may have got a little messy, our results were nothing short of masterpieces.

On Tuesday, students explored traditional cultural headwear, from delicate Latvian flower crowns to the bold and elegant Nigerian Gele. Our campus has never looked more vibrant.

Wednesday was all about colour and celebration. Students created stunning Indian Rangoli, experimenting with patterns symbolising prosperity and positivity, and tried their hand at Mehndi, learning about its significance in celebrations and weddings.

On Thursday, we tried Chinese calligraphy. Students practiced writing meaningful phrases like “Good Luck” and “Happiness”, spreading positivity across campus.

Friday marked the grand finale: Culture Day. With 31 cultures represented in one incredible celebration, students showcased traditional outfits, food, languages, music, and dance. The atmosphere was electric, a true celebration of identity, heritage, and the community spirit here at QE.

Culture Week is one of QE’s most energising and joyful weeks. Here at QE, culture isn’t just something we learn about, it’s something we celebrate, share, and live together! We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
