Creative Media students from QE, recently had a fabulous opportunity to get a taste of university life and higher education at Sunderland University. They experienced the life of a Media Production student in TV and Social Media Production by perfecting their digital skills at a hands-on workshop. Students also had the exciting opportunity to create their own live TV show in the University’s state of the art TV studio, followed by an insight in to social media with a TIK TOK masterclass by creating their own Tik Tok Reel. They took part in camera operation, directions, tv presenting, along with being a floor manager, sound engineer to name a few. This was followed by an Investigative Journalism workshop in their live Journalism hub. Beccy Vickers, Course Leader for Creative Media said ‘it was a fabulous experience for our students to see media in action with facilities which are second to none in an ultra-modern HE environment’.
