Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College is proud to celebrate the remarkable achievement of former student Connor, who has been awarded a highly prestigious national scholarship.
Only 25 undergraduates each year are awarded the Lord Kitchener Scholarship which recognises exceptional academic ability, potential, and wider contributions beyond the classroom. The competition is fierce, and Connor’s success marks a significant milestone in his educational journey.
Speaking about the experience, Connor said: “After submitting my application, I participated in a formal interview by a panel including the chair of the board, Lady Emma Kitchener. The interview was challenging, with questions on current UK and global affairs. I was also asked about my personal and professional ambitions in the field of Law post-university. It is a huge privilege to be awarded the scholarship.”
By being awarded this scholarship, Connor joins a distinguished network of politicians, business leaders, and professionals from across the UK. The award was formally presented by Lady Kitchener at a prestigious ceremony held at the Victory Services Club.
Connor’s achievement is a testament to his dedication, intellect, and drive—and continues the tradition of excellence demonstrated by alumni of both Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College and Bedale High School.
