Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College recently hosted its highly anticipated Culture Day, a vibrant celebration of the rich diversity within its student community. The event showcased dynamic performances, delicious international cuisine, and stunning cultural displays, bringing students together to share and celebrate their heritage.
Throughout the day, students took centre stage, expressing their traditions through dance, music, fashion, and food. From colourful traditional attire to energetic performances, the event highlighted the many cultures represented within the college. Attendees were treated to a variety of global dishes, reflecting the diverse backgrounds of the students.
The college was honoured to welcome the Mayor and Mayoress of Darlington, along with Local MP Lola McEvoy, who joined in the celebrations and praised the students for their enthusiasm and commitment to fostering inclusivity.
Laurence Job, Principal commented: “Culture Day is always a highlight in our calendar. It’s an opportunity for students to share their heritage, learn from one another, and embrace the diversity that makes our college so special. The energy, creativity, and passion on display were truly inspiring.”
