QE Leadership Academy Kicks Off With A Bang

Over the last couple of days, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming students from Greenfield and Wyvern Academies to our Sports Hall as part of our QE Leadership Academy. QE Sport & Leisure students supported the delivery of the events, both as part of their Sport & Leisure course and their Level 3 Sport Leadership qualification – a qualification that all Year 13 Sport & Leisure students complete. They delivered various theory-based tutorials, focusing on sport leadership and organisation, then gave our visiting students the opportunity to apply those skills that they’d learnt in a number of practical sessions.

Joe Cooke, Sport & Leisure teacher at QE commented “Students from Wyvern and Greenfield have been fantastic, demonstrating strong leadership ideas and putting these ideas into practice. It is great to start these young people on their sport leadership journey, we can now see students that have completed these awards in previous years enrolling at the college, and continuing their development on Sport & Leisure courses.”

Any schools interested in attending leadership days at QE should contact Joe Cooke on jcooke@qeliz.ac.uk or 01325 461315.
