QE Student Takes Off with Prestigious Airbus Engineering Apprenticeship

Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College (QE), Darlington, is celebrating the success of student Emily Creaser, who has secured an apprenticeship with leading aerospace company Airbus and will be working towards a B1.3 Aircraft Maintenance Licence in Helicopter Engineering.

Airbus is recognised globally for its pioneering spirit and commitment to innovation, continually pushing the boundaries of aerospace technology. The company develops products and solutions that connect people and help safeguard the future through cutting-edge engineering and sustainable advancement.

A former student of All Saints Church of England Academy, Ingleby Barwick, Emily achieved a Distinction* in Popular Music, alongside an A in Maths and B grades in Further Maths and Economics at QE before successfully securing a highly competitive apprenticeship opportunity with the international aerospace manufacturer.  With Airbus apprenticeships attracting applications from talented candidates across the country, Emily’s achievement is a testament to her hard work, dedication and passion for engineering.

Reflecting on her experience at QE, Emily said: “QE provided me with the best environment I could ask for, not only in preparing me for life after college but also in helping me meet so many new people. I look forward to starting my apprenticeship, working towards my B1.3 licence in engineering, and having the opportunity to work for such a great company.”

Emily’s achievement highlights the diverse progression opportunities available to QE students, with many going on to university, higher apprenticeships and employment with leading organisations across a range of industries.
