QE Wellbeing Group Supports Physical and Mental Health for All and Beats Blue Monday

Our student  Wellbeing Group plays a vital role in promoting both physical and mental health within the college community. Meeting monthly, the group focuses on supporting the well-being of both staff and students, organising a variety of activities aimed at reducing stress, encouraging physical fitness, and fostering emotional resilience.

As part of the college’s enrichment offer, the Wellbeing Group aligns its work with our broader priorities, ensuring that the needs of the college community are consistently met. From mindfulness sessions to fitness challenges and workshops on mental health awareness, the group offers inclusive activities that cater to everyone.

By creating a space where health and well-being are prioritised, the group encourages positive habits and open conversations around mental health, helping to build a supportive and caring environment at QE. This initiative underscores the college’s commitment to nurturing the overall well-being of its students and staff.

On January 20th, Blue Monday, often called the year’s gloomiest day, the QE Smile Generators turned it into a day of joy! Dressed as a cheerful unicorn, they handed out free hot chocolate and uplifting notes to students, creating smiles and boosting spirits all around. This heart-warming initiative showcases the Wellbeing Group’s commitment to fostering happiness, resilience, and a supportive environment where staff and students can thrive.
