Art foundation and textiles students have been given the opportunity to work with local sports and leisure wear brand UGD Apparel on a live brief to support their portfolios. Students have been asked to design artwork around a selected theme that fits in with the company’s aesthetic and ethos. Sam Stanislaw, owner of the brand, has worked with our art students for the past 3 years, giving students the opportunity for work experience and internships.
Rachel Barras, Assistant Head of Art and Design commented “The work we do with Sam gives students industry standard experience, allowing them to develop their skills and knowledge as well as produce high quality work suitable for portfolios and interviews that is different from the work they do as part of their coursework.
